Welcome to LNS Online Learning!
"Lummi Nation School: where students learn through Schelangen (our way of life): academics, community and culture."
Teachers and staff at LNS are working hard to provide an online learning environment that meets the goals we have for our students. Here you will find resources, documents, websites and links that will help you and your student navigate through online learning.
All students at LNS are using Schoology & Seesaw to receive instruction online. Students should log into these resources daily to check for messages, assignments and direction from their teachers. At times, teachers may direct students out of Schoology/Seesaw (by email for example) to other resources and websites to complete assignments.
Teachers will be available for student support from 9:00-3:00 M-Th, and 9:00-1:00 F by email or scheduled meeting.
LNS - Students Learning at Home!
The Lummi Nation School is closed for the rest of the year but the learning continues!
Student homework packages that were distributed during this closure Starting March 16th 2020 can be returned to the school Mondays and Thursdays from 10am to 1pm. (All lessons will be graded)
K-5 teachers will use Seesaw to provide online lessons and support. Seesaw ensures collaboration between educators, students, and families by supporting effective remote learning when students are not able to be in the classroom.
6-12 Students will use school Schoology to provide online learning. Schoology is a learning management system (LMS) that has all the tools necessary to deliver engaging lessons, and gives our students assess to the curriculum material. Some teachers will also be emailing students assignments & information, so please check your email as well. Many teachers have already contacted parents/guardians to encourage participation and offer help when needed.
Devices will be available to 7-12 students on Monday, April 20th from 10 am to 4 pm. Devices for K-6 students will be available Tuesday, April 21st. Call 360-758-4300 to schedule a time for pick up.
We ask that parents/guardians provide support to your child daily in the form of encouragement and scheduling specific times during the day for your child to work on assignments. LNS teachers have created fun on-line lessons. It is your role to make sure lessons are being completed and your child is keeping up with their lessons.
